Due to more domestic pig farms testing positive for African swine fever (ASF), the region is intensifying the alert level and calling on the entire industry for transparency and responsible behavior from operators in the supply chain.
In the area within the 10-km radius of the farms where positive ASF cases have been found, all movement of pigs is prohibited - both incoming and outgoing. Throughout the rest of the territory of Pavia and Lombardy, movements are dependent upon the favorable outcome of clinical examinations and sampling of biological material.
