The Official Veterinary Services (SVO) of the Generalitat de Catalunya have reported the detection of two new secondary outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) in wild boars, one outbreak with two animals and the other with one animal.
Both are located in the vicinity of the previously reported outbreaks and within the perimeter of the area considered to be at highest risk.

With these two new outbreaks, the number of outbreaks reported to date rises to seven, two of which are primary and the other five secondary, including a total of 16 positive animals. In addition, another 115 animals found dead in the wild or on roads or railways in and around the infected area have been tested and found to be negative.
