The mortality of pigs with clinical signs typical of the disease (excessive salivation, loss of appetite, uncoordinated movements and reddening of the skin around the ears, snout, tail and abdomen) was detected in 4 districts (Lanviara, Gare, Douane and St Paul).

There are 486 susceptible animals, and the pigs are housed or free-roaming. Tests are being carried out to assess the spreading of the disease.

The last appearance of the disease was in October 2015.
