According to data collected by the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries of the Ministry of Economy of Argentina, in 2025, pig production reached record slaughter and production levels, with a total of 8,517,433 animals slaughtered and 812,272 tons produced. These figures represent increases of 2.5% in slaughter and 3.4% in production compared to 2024.
At the same time, domestic pork consumption also performed strongly, reaching a new record of 18.9 kg per capita per year, representing year-on-year growth of 8.7%. This trend consolidates the presence of pork in the domestic market, with greater incorporation of different cuts as a proven alternative for daily consumption, valued for its versatility, competitive price, and nutritional benefits.

Another important aspect of the year was the dynamics of foreign trade. Argentina currently has 54 open export markets for pork and pork by-products. In 2025, the total value of pork exports increased by 3% compared to the previous year, reaching 15.35 million USD.
These results reflect the consolidation underway in the swine industry and validate the conditions that have sustained investment, production, and consumption, strengthening its position in both domestic and foreign markets.
