The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries of the Ministry of Economy reported that, during 2025, 162 international markets were opened and reopened for Argentine agro-industrial products, in a joint effort with SENASA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. To date, 86 new markets have been opened, allowing for diversification of destinations and expansion of the export potential of value-added products.

The most notable cases include the opening of markets for bone-in beef, offal, poultry, and pork to the Philippines; nuts and gallstones to China; lemons to Chile; pork and offal to Paraguay; and, for the first time, the opening of markets for the export of rainbow trout roe (fertilized eggs) to Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.

With regard to reopenings, 76 were finalized. The outbreak of avian influenza in August required an intense international agenda to rehabilitate 73 markets for various products in the sector. Among the main markets reopened for poultry meat are Brazil, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Uruguay.

The effects of these policies are reflected in trade results: between January and November 2025, agro-industrial exports reached 105.1 million tons worth US$47.458 billion, representing year-on-year growth of 12% in volume and 9% in value compared to the same period in 2024, according to data processed by the Undersecretariat of Agri-Food Markets and International Integration under the Ministry of Economy.
