According to the June report prepared by the National Directorate of Agriculture, soybean production reached 49,900,000 tonnes, representing a 3.5% increase compared to the previous season and marking the best result in the last six years.
The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, under the Ministry of Economy, reported that 17,800,000 hectares were sown during this campaign, a 7.7% increase compared to the area planted in 2023/2024.

In addition to the increase in sown area, yields were noteworthy: first-crop soybeans averaged 3.06 tonnes/ha, surpassing the average of the last decade, while second-crop soybeans recorded 2.51 tonnes/ha—the highest value in the past ten years.
The main producing provinces were Buenos Aires with 5,477,098 ha, Córdoba with 4,504,864 ha, Santa Fe with 3,367,950 ha, Santiago del Estero with 1,415,045 ha, and Entre Ríos with 1,250,450 ha. Nationally, the harvest is practically complete, with only a few plots yet to be collected.
Argentina exports soybeans and their processed products to 67 countries, with soybean meal and by-products being the main export items. Over the past five years, the top destinations have been China (13% of total exports), Vietnam (9%), and India (7%).
