The corn crop combines tolerance to multiple herbicides with protection from lepidopteran insect plagues. This combination facilitates more effective management of weeds - even resistant ones - and it acts as a key tool to delay the emergence of resistance in target insects. What's more, the crop incorporates improvements in yield potential, which can result in increased crop productivity.
In turn, soy beans have three insecticidal proteins that provide effective control of lepidopteran pests. This feature represents a technological alternative to integrated pest management, also helping to prevent the development of resistance and promoting the expansion of the crop in the country.
