LallemandLallemand Animal Nutrition is pleased to announce that Dr Yannig Le Treut, DVM, has been appointed as General Manager of the company, replacing Mr Olivier Clech, former General Manager of Lallemand Animal Nutrition and Vice President of the Specialty Division. Dr Le Treut, who joined Lallemand in 2005 as Commercial Director for France, Belgium, South of Europe & Africa, and who was instrumental to the development of the company’s monogastrics activity, has an in-depth knowledge of the business and the company.

Dr Yannig Le TreutYannig Le Treut graduated as a Veterinary Doctor in 1984. Early in his carrier, he specialized in animal nutrition, which he sees as the cornerstone of a healthy and profitable animal production. Over the past seven years, he has driven Lallemand’s business and technical development in the swine and poultry market. Prior to joining Lalllemand, Yannig Le Treut was Director of INZO°, one of the European leaders in animal feed, and, before this, he had managed the porcine activities of the firm for six years. Prior to this, Mr. Le Treut spent eight years managing the porcine activities of major French porcine cooperatives: first UCANOR, and then Agrial.

This is the opportunity to thank Olivier Clech for his commitment to the company and his major contribution to its development over the past 12 years. Yannig Le Treut commented: “When Olivier arrived in the Company in 2000, Lallemand was starting off its animal nutrition activities and had only started human nutrition activities for two years with the acquisition of Institut Rosell. His strong leadership and business vision has been crucial in building a very strong Animal Nutrition business team that has become a world leading player in animal nutrition.” Since 2002, Mr Clech also took on the responsibility of the Human Nutrition business with similar success. He managed this activity until it was taken over last February by Ms Francine Mondou, following the acquisition of Harmonium International by Lallemand.

These past years were marked with major evolutions in the Animal Nutrition market, both on the economic and regulatory side, and Lallemand was always ready to take on the challenges and offer innovations fit for the market needs, from the feed manufacturer to the farmer. The company built its reputation and success on its commitment to quality and scientific excellence. True to the word of Lallemand founder “cooperation spells success”, Lallemand has established a strong worldwide network of collaborations with leading scientists, nutritionists and research centres around the world, while maintaining close links with the end users, the farmers. This is the basis of the company’s “Field Led-Science Supported” product development strategy which has become successful: today Lallemand is leading the way in various areas and many key opinion leaders, nutrition experts and farmers are endorsing our products around the world.
