After months of intense work implementing the necessary selection and handling protocols, the first PIC®408 produced in Spain have completed their testing process and will be distributed among the main Spanish producers.
Thanks to this milestone, producers in southern Europe will benefit from having a new source of boars of high genetic value, from a reliable, consolidated, and close supply network. The production of PIC408 is diversified in 3 different countries and its genetic program is applied to the entire population homogeneously, making the PIC408 the leading Piétrain terminal in Europe both for the number of boars and for their yields.
