Stonehaven Incubate AG has appointed former Copenhagen Life Science Advisors Managing Partner, Jarne Elleholm as its new full time CEO with effect from 1 March. He replaces founding Stonehaven Incubate CEO and animal health executive, Dr Mark Heffernan, who will remain on the board of directors.

The dedicated animal health incubator, committed to creating new companies de novo, and applying disruptive human technology to the animal health space, is at an exciting stage in its development and sees Jarne as the ideal replacement.

Jarne has extensive venture capital experience having run and managed three Danish venture funds with 24 portfolio companies, working with entrepreneurs and developing start-up and early stage growth companies towards exit. He was Chairman of Scandinavian Micro Biodevices, an animal health company, helping them grow and finally divesting them to Zoetis. He has a strong network in the European venture capital community and will look to develop existing portfolio companies and provide new syndication partners for Stonehaven Incubate.

“I am delighted to have joined Stonehaven Incubate and look forward to helping to develop, and maximise the potential of its maturing portfolio, as well as to launch new companies in the coming months and years,” said Jarne.

Stonehaven Incubate Chairman Fabian Kausche said: “I’d like to welcome Jarne to the team and look forward to the further development of Stonehaven Incubate. I would also like to thank Mark for all he has done to establish Stonehaven Incubate from a concept to a fully functioning global incubator and building a strong portfolio of assets. I wish him all the best in his position as CEO at Scout Bio.”
