‘’With these novel facilities we do not only produce quality pigs, moreover our Colombian farmers get direct access to the latest knowledge’’, says Edgar Villamizar, co-owner of the project.

The project is built to receive both individuals as groups of pork producers and technicians from the industry in order to provide in-practice knowledge transfer. Industry partners can utilize the demonstration centre in order to further extend both their employees as client expertise.

‘’The Colombian markets offers great opportunities for the European Pork Sector. With our demonstration centre we reach Colombian farmers in a direct way, offering them not only training courses, but direct access too to numerous innovative technologies and concepts in real life conditions‘’, says Luc Willekens from NutriSuin.

The nearness of the training facilities to emerging markets ensures full advantage for the Colombian and Latin American pork chain. Colombia has had an annual production increase of 20% in recent decade, several Latin American countries follow this tendency.
