Mathieu Castex becomes Lallemand Animal Nutrition global R&D

New organization to strengthen the aquaculture and yeast derivatives activities.

lallemand.gifImage3.jpgLallemand Animal Nutrition is pleased to announce that Dr Mathieu Castex has been nominated global Research & Development Director for the company, succeeding to Dr Henri Durand. After leading Lallemand Animal Nutrition R&D activities since the early days of the company in the late nineties, Dr Durand will retire later on this year. Dr Castex has spent the past 5 years as Aquaculture and Yeast Derivatives Product Manager, contributing widely to the development and the success of these ranges. Stéphane Ralite, an expert of the aquaculture market, has been appointed Product Manager Aquaculture and will take over Dr Castex Aquaculture responsibilities. The Yeast Derivatives portfolio will be managed by Caroline Desmaizières, DVM, recently appointed, who brings with her a strong experience and expertise in product development and strategic marketing. This new organization marks the important development of these activities within Lallemand Animal Nutrition in recent years, at a time when aquafeed represents a market with great potential.

Stéphane Ralite, the new Product Manager Aquaculture, has a solid experience and knowledge of the aquaculture segment in different regions of the globe.

During his career, he has held several positions within Evialis/InVivo group in France, playing a key role in the set-up of its aqua division Ocialis. After being aquaculture market manager within Diana group for its Aquativ Division, Stéphane Ralite set-up his own consulting company bringing his aqua expertise to different organizations. He will be in charge of the global development of Lallemand Animal Nutrition aquaculture range, whose flagship product, BACTOCELL®, is the first probiotic to have been authorized for aquaculture (all farmed fish and shrimps species) by EFSA.

Image1.jpgCaroline Desmaizières has graduated from the Toulouse vet school and has held several marketing management positions within Merial in Spain and France for its swine and equine product lines.

After a few years running her own marketing and strategy consultancy agency, Caroline was recently marketing and Communication Manager with an equine health equipment organization. She will be in charge of the expansion of the companies multi-species yeast derivatives line of products, in particular organic selenium ALKOSEL® and premium yeast cell walls AGRIMOS®.
