Ronan said “I am delighted to be joining the Makeway team in this new role at this very exciting stage of their business development. I have been very impressed with Makeway’s customer service focus and the diverse range of products and consultancy services which they supply across the entire pig industry from production, nutrition, housing, equipment, welfare and environment”.

Michael Monagle, Managing Director of Makeway Ltd. commented:

“We in Makeway, very much believe that ‘modern science’ must be embraced to help us achieve an advantage over other competitive exporting countries, many of whom have currently a significant production cost advantage over us. Ronan brings to us a wealth of scientific knowledge vital to understanding and exploring areas for focused research and development. He will work closely with Declan Murphy and Billy Wallace (also Masters in Agr.Sc.), who are also very well respected in their fields, to continually develop an integrated approach using the best available technology, so that performance improvements can keep ahead of production costs for our customers. We are delighted to have Ronan on board and have no doubt the industry in general will progress and benefit greatly from his involvement”
