ABN 1Tegan Sutton moves up the ladder in ABN, following her time on the AB Agri graduate scheme.

Having completed a degree in BSc (Hons) Zoology, followed by a Masters in Animal Nutrition, Miss Sutton joined the ABN pig team as a developmental pig nutritionist in 2016.

“I applied and was accepted on to the AB Agri graduate scheme in September 2015, and have since moved into this new role which I’m really enjoying,” she says.

“There is no such thing as a typical day in this job. It varies depending on the trial work we’re undertaking. One moment I can be reading published papers to produce a literature review, and the next I could be helping with specifications and formulations on a specific trial we’re running, or supporting the sales team and interacting with customers.

“I really enjoy the project work and the opportunity it provides. Seeing how we’re consistently working to improve the efficiency of the industry through nutrition and technical support is very rewarding.

“In the next five year’s I hope to further my knowledge and expertise in the sector, and continue to build a profile for myself in the industry.

“The AB Agri graduate scheme has certainly helped me in reaching my career aspirations so far, and I would definitely recommend it to others. You have the opportunity to do real life jobs from the outset, and are given the responsibility to showcase where you can add value and bring something to the company.”
