BioMTSInternacional has introduced a biotechnological process that obtain insects oil from the treatment of organical waste (animal manure, aquaculture, sewage systems, breweries, etc.).
The process puts an end to environmental pollution and dramatically reduces the time (only six days are required) and surface needed in other existing treatments (open air composting, biodigestors). It is fulfilled in an almost closed ambient resulting in high caloric content compost (suitable for power generation) and also insect maggots, rich in proteins, that can be used for animal feeding or to produce insects oils competing with fish oil and that can be used to obtain Omega’s 3, 6 and 7. Process is eligible for carbon bonds and results in an important value added to production chain.
