HIPRA awards the prize for the best academic record in the master’s degree in swine health and production

HipraOn 20th November last, HIPRA, sponsor of the Master’s Degree in Swine Health and Production, organized jointly by the University of Lleida, the University of Zaragoza and the Complutense University of Madrid, presented the award for the best academic record to Oriol Torras, in a ceremony held at the VISAVET centre (Veterinary Health Surveillance Centre) at the Complutense University of Madrid.

The event began with a keynote address by Dr. José Manuel Sánchez-Vizcaíno and Albert Vidal on Notifiable Diseases, focussing on the part played by health monitoring and the new techniques available for achieving this, as on farms with 5.0.

They also analysed the current situation regarding diseases with the greatest impact in Europe and addressed the different ways of preventing and diagnosing these.
