There has been a good atmosphere at the Agromek agricultural exhibition in the MCH Exhibition Centre in Herning, Denmark. The Exhibition closed on Friday.

The Chairman of Agromek, Managing Director Sten Andersen, Dan Egtved A/S has stated the following:

“The Exhibition has been marked by a growing optimism in farming, despite the fact that certain areas within the agricultural sector still experience difficult conditions. Our exhibitors have reported that there has been a positive atmosphere on the stands and that they have been visited by many serious decision makers who wish to develop their farms.”

The Chairman is pleased that the Exhibition has been attended by so many foreign guests.

“Many foreign farmers and dealers have also attended Agromek. They have been attracted to attend the Exhibition due to the fact that Danish agricultural machinery has such a good reputation in other countries. Among the foreign guests it has been clearly apparent that there is a growing basis for new investments – this applies both to Germany and several other European countries. There are therefore many exhibitors who will be kept busy in order to follow up their contacts with potential foreign customers.”

Agromek attained a total visitor attendance of 37.403. This figure included 3.749 foreign guests.

“We can only be pleased with our visitor statistics when we consider the present Winter weather and the fact that the Exhibition was only open for four days instead of the usual five days.”

“This year, Agromek has been a fully combined exhibition which appeals to all farmers. This has pleased both our visitors and our exhibitors. We therefore look forward to the next Agromek Exhibition in 2012 at which we will again present a major, collective exhibition of agricultural machinery.”
