To help with the increasingly complex job of sourcing materials, pig housing specialist ARM Buildings, has beefed up its buying department with the appointment of Krysia Purnell as purchasing assistant.
“Due to company growth, we are buying greater quantities of materials and this, combined with spiralling costs and supply issues, has increased our workload,” commented Tim Martin, ARM’s operations director. “Negotiating competitive prices has become harder and more demanding, taking much more time to complete.”
Krysia, who has six years’ previous buying experience, will also help build relationships with new and existing suppliers, as well as liaising with contract managers and site foremen to ensure deliveries run smoothly.
She lives locally in Rugeley, Staffordshire, where the company headquarters is also
based.
