Beatriz Martínez Vallespín
Free University of Berlin - Germany AuthorBeatriz Martínez Vallespín studied Veterinary Medicine/Science at the University of Saragossa (2005). After a period as a field veterinarian at the Cooperative San Miguel de Tauste (Saragossa), in 2007 she started her Ph.D. degree in Animal Nutrition at the Animal Science and Technology Institute at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, where she also studied an Msc degree in Animal Production. In 2011 she obtained her Ph.D. Degree with the thesis “Use of weaning diets in combined feeding of females and young rabbits”.
In 2012 she worked, temporarily, as teaching staff at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine/Science at the University CEU Cardenal Herrera in Valencia.
Since 2013 she works as post-doctoral researcher at the Animal Nutrition Institute at the Free University of Berlin. Her research areas are the study of nutritional alternatives to antibiotics in pig production, as well as the development of in vitro techniques with cell cultures that allow to reduce the total number of animals needed in the tests.
