The studies describe different ADWG performances depending on the different degrees of PCV2 viraemia: the higher the PCV2 load in serum from weaning to slaughter, the lower the ADWG. These results would explain the benefits of vaccination against PCV2 even on farms without PCV2-SD but suffering from PCV2-SI.
