Vietnam will increase taxes on imported meats to 40% from late October 2010 in a move to protect its local livestock industry.

Vietnam will increase taxes on imported meats to 40% from late October 2010 in a move to protect its local livestock industry.

Import taxes for fresh, frozen and canned chicken, and pork will be increased to 40%, up from 27% previously.
