United States: House votes to extend Farm Bill until late January

Monday 16 December 2013 (4 years 2 months 2 days ago)

On Thursday, the House approved an extension of the 2008 farm law until January 31, 2014. That would give lawmakers more time to finish work on a new five-year policy.

Both the Senate and the House have passed farm bills this year, but the differences between the two measures have yet to be hammered out.
