Russia: Uniform registration system for veterinary medicinal products for the Eurasian Customs Union

The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has presented a project to the Eurasian Customs Union that proposes the Introduction of a uniform registration system for veterinary medicinal products.
Additionally, and in order to ensure an efficient control and supervision of veterinary medicinal products, the Rosselkhoznadzor deems it necessary to introduce a uniform approach for the classification of such products in the category of veterinary medicinal products, prohibiting the registration of products such as additives for animal feed. The Rosselkhoznadzor reported the identification, in Russia, of veterinary antibiotics as additives for animal feed in Kazakhstan and Belarus.
