Exports of Russian pork products this year are progressing in line with the forecasts made by the National Union of Pig Producers at the end of 2024. The organization's director general, Yuri Kovalev, is confident that by the end of 2025, shipments to international markets will increase by approximately 25-30% compared to last year's level and exceed 400,000 tons in volume, while in value, they will approach US$1 billion.
In the first seven months of this year, the main buyer of Russian pork was Belarus, which increased its purchases by 40% compared to the same period in 2024. Vietnam ranked second: between January and July, Russian pork exports to that country grew by 30-35%.

“China is steadily moving into third place. Last year we sold around 40,000 tons of pork products, but this year, according to our preliminary forecasts, shipments will double to around 80,000 tons,” Kovalev said.
