Russia/Brazil - The forthcoming Rosselkhoznadzor inspection of Brazilian meat processing plants

In the course of the inspection of Brazilian meat processing plants, which was carried out by the Rosselkhoznadzor specialists in April 2010, it was found out that most Brazilian plants that used to export their products to Russia, do not fulfill veterinary-sanitary norms and requirements.

In the course of the inspection of Brazilian meat processing plants, which was carried out by the Rosselkhoznadzor specialists in April 2010, it was found out that most Brazilian plants that used to export their products to Russia, do not fulfill veterinary-sanitary norms and requirements.

In this connection, the Rosselkhoznadzor requested the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply to decide the question on carrying out a regular joint inspection of meat processing Brazilian plants interested in export of their products to the Russian market as soon as possible. The information on the agreed timing of the inspection will be reported further.
