The Portuguese Government published in the "Diário da República" Order No. 644/2016 establishing the creation of the Milk and Pork Crisis Cabinet (GCLS).
The GCLS mission is to monitor the evolution of the milk and dairy, as well as the pork markets, promoting greater coordination and cooperation between the different operators of the food chain, production, industry and distribution, and to propose measures to mitigate negative impacts on the sectors concerned.
