Minas Gerais was the fifth largest exporter of pork in Brazil, excluding processed meats, and saw the highest growth in 2025, at 29.30%, according to data from the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA). Throughout the year, the state was responsible for the sale of 37,500 tons, or 2.51% of all that Brazil sent abroad.
The Minas Gerais State Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply (Seapa-MG) affirms that this year was the highest level of exports by the state in the last 10 years.

The Association of Pig Farmers of the State of Minas Gerais (Asemg) released a survey from January to November 2025. The cumulative figures for the year are not yet finalized. The result indicates that, during this period, the state exported 28,200 tons of pork, surpassing the 2024 survey, when more than 25,300 tons were sold.
