In 2025, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) recommended 30 veterinary medicines for marketing authorisation. Among the 30 medicines recommended for marketing authorisation, 16 were vaccines, including seven that were approved under exceptional circumstances to respond to animal health emergencies. Five vaccines were developed through a biotechnological process.
Two of the medicines recommended are for use in swine:

- A new vaccine for the active immunisation of pigs against infections caused by Brachyspira hyodysenteriae.
- A hemostatic agent designed to rapidly control bleeding in animals undergoing surgery or suffering trauma.
