Mexico currently holds the seventh place in the world in terms of animal protein production and meat products supply, stated the Stockbreeding General Coordinator, Francisco Gurría Treviño.

He notified that, currently, the value of the agriculture and stockbreeding production value is 531 thousand million pesos, and that the future is promising, because the animal protein world market will demand, in the next years, some 60 million tonnes more of beef, pork and chicken.

Gurría Treviño highlighted that currently, the value of the Mexican food and agriculture exports exceeds $24 thousand million per year.

In 2013 there was an increase by approximately 7% with respect to the international sales reached in 2012.
