Mexico foresees an increase in pork exports

According to the SAGARPA's Livestock department general coordinator, Mr. Francisco Gurría Treviño, the Mexican pork production is increasingly more important for the national economy.

The processed pork exports, especially to the Asian markets, reached 90,000 tonnes in 2014, and this represented an income of USD436.9 million.

According to Gurría, based on the preliminary figures of the Trades Balances, Availability and Consumption Group, it is estimated that in 2015, the foreign sales of processed pork will reach 114 tonnes.
