The National Service for Agroalimentary Public Health, Safety and Quality (SENASICA) promoted the creation of the first Standard of Competence (SC) on Health and Agrifood, Aquaculture and Fisheries Safety, according to the methodology established by the National Council for Standardization and Certification of Occupational Competencies (CONOCER).

The creation of this standard aims to provide staff coordinating the follow-up of health and safety work programs with the tools required to maintain and raise standards of performance in the federal bodies and in the SENASICA. It also seeks to enhance and improve the benefits and results of the execution of the budget that SENASICA spends annually to monitor the program of Agroalimentary Health and Safety in the country.
