Mexico’s Secretary of Agriculture, Rural Development, Fishing and Food, Francisco Mayorga Castañeda, and New Zealand’s Minister of Agriculture, David Carter, signed a Memorandum on Understanding.

This cooperative agreement will allow for the development of actions between the governments, producers, and companies of both countries with the exchange of experiences and cooperation in the transfer of technology and processing added value to products. The next step to take will be to work on harmonizing the sanitary criteria for the placement of Mexican products in New Zealand, such as the case with avocado, lime, papaya, coconut, pork and poultry in the first stage.
