According to the SENASICA, there are 419 active TIF businesses in Mexico that slaughter and process meat products with the highest health and harmlessness standards for the consumers.

The food produced by this system has a quality guarantee for the national and overseas consumers. To obtain the certification, the businesses must fulfil high health and harmlessness standards that are maintained through constant surveillance by doctors (official or authorised) trained by the SENASICA. This certification is the result of a meticulous judgement of the documents, processes and premises of the businesses and their approval.

The certification process is dynamic and constant, because once a business is approved, a permanent supervision programme goes on to check that the TIF regulations (based on international healt inspection, disease surveillance and animal welfare regulations) are always fulfiled.
