Mexican pork production up 1.8% in the first four months of the year

The growth rate of pork production was higher than that of beef and similar to that of poultry.

  • Cumulative pork production from January to April increased by 1.8% compared to the same period in 2022, going from 551,049 to 560,901 tons.
  • Specifically for the month of April, production reached 139,015 tons, representing a growth of 1.6% compared to the same month of the previous year and a decrease of 0.6% compared to March.
  • In the first four months of the year, the growth rate of pork production was similar to that of poultry meat (1.8%), while beef grew the least during the analyzed period at 1.5%.
