Mexico: Pork production breaks record with more than 900,000 tons in the first half of the year

The pork industry is experiencing its fastest growth in years, with a cumulative rate of 5.5%.

At the end of the first half of 2025, pork production totaled 921,226 tons (t), representing a 5.5% increase over the same period in 2024.

The cumulative growth rate for pork production was higher than that for beef (0.2%) and poultry (3.2%).

In June, 167,560 t of pork were produced, representing a year-on-year increase of 10.9% and a month-on-month increase of 2.2%.
