Japan: Foot-and-mouth suspected in Miyazaki pigs

Four more outbreaks were found between 24 and 28 April 2010 at three more locations in the Southern Miyazaki Prefecture, including Japan's first cases involving pigs at Kawaminami-cho Koyu-gun.

Four more outbreaks were found between 24 and 28 April 2010 at three more locations in the Southern Miyazaki Prefecture, including Japan's first cases involving pigs at Kawaminami-cho Koyu-gun. Five pigs have been found to be infected with FMD and all 486 pigs at the farm have been culled.
