Last week a meeting was held at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Italy with the organizations that are part of the National Sole Commission (CUN) for swine, as well as with representatives of the Ministry and the Italian Telematic Stock Exchange, and representatives of Assica, Coldiretti, Confagricoltura and Co. At the end of the meeting, the new regulation that came into force last January 23rd was approved.

This decision has been made after a long stalemate period that started last October, when the quoted price in the context of the CUN was actually set by a part the producers, due to an absence of the representatives of the abattoirs at the meetings and after the impossibility of reaching an agreement between both parties.
