As reported in the French newspaper Le Figaro, the French MPs voted in committee the creation of an exceptional tax, directly proportional to the turnover of companies processing meat products, to finance a fund to assist livestock producers in crisis. The tax will be applicable to companies with a turnover of over €250 M.

For this amendment to be included in the supplementary budget bill for 2015, it must be voted on again during the review of the text in the Chamber.
