FMD detected in Cyprus

Cyprus reported two outbreaks of foot and mouth disease virus (FMD) in domestic sheep on February 20 and one outbreak in domestic cattle on February 19 to the World Organisation for Animal Health. All three outbreaks were located in Larnaca.

These are the first cases reported in the country since 2007.
