Evolution of Chinese pork imports

Chinese imports of pork and offal remain well below those of the same period of the previous year.

According to data from the General Administration of Customs of China, during the first nine months of the year, the country has imported a total of 1,220,000 tons of pork, or with offal taken into account 2,040,000 tons, which represents a decrease of 60% and 50% compared to the same period of the previous year.

In August and September, there was a slight increase in imports following the approximately 120,000 tons imported in June and July. In August imports increased to 140,000 tons, and in September they reached 150,000 tons.
