The report presents a modeled scenario exploring the potential effects of selected Farm to Fork (F2F) and Biodiversity strategies (BDS) targets in the framework of the 2030 Climate targets and the post 2020 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

In a scenario considering the combined effects of the F2F and BDS strategies’ targets without changing the CAP, EU pork meat exports would largely decrease by 77%, driven by the drop in EU supply and the drastic increase in producer prices.

In this scenario, the EU would lose relative competitiveness and significant market shares on global pig meat markets. There would be a 43% increase in pork meat prices that would lead to higher total income for the relevant production sectors (+129%).
