Denmark launches an App to help to avoid the entrance of ASF

The App allows to inform of the presence of wild boars in the Danish territory.

The Ministry of Environment and Food has presented a new App that will allow to inform the authorities easily about the presence ow wild boars in the Danish territory with the aim of avoiding the entrance of African swine fever in the country.

According to the director of the Food Agency, Mr Stig Mellergaard, the information provided by the citizens entails a crucial help to avoid the entrance of ASF.

The Ministry expects that many citizens use the new App, as this will improve the general view of how many wild boars there are and where they live. The App will also allow to inform about the presence of dead wild boars or their tracks.

The new App is called WildwineTip and can be downloaded from the App Store or from Google Play, and on https://vildsvin.fvst.dk it will be possible to see all the reports on a map of Denmark.
