Denmark: Danish Crown has waiting list for new suppliers

The company is a week behind on pig pickups and will place new suppliers on a waiting list.

Problems in selling Danish piglets for export, due to ASF in Germany and Poland, have resulted in an increase in Danish pigs for slaughter at a time when Danish Crown's slaughter capacity is already full.

The company is currently facing a one-week backlog of pigs from its current suppliers and at the same time, the number of pig farmers wanting to send their pigs for slaughter at its facilities is increasing. Due to this situation, the company has had to reintroduce a waiting list for the admission of new suppliers.
