Chinese pork imports keep growing

Chinese pork imports grew by 63% in May.

According to the latest data provided by the Chinese Government's Customs Service, in May China imported 187,459 tonnes of pork, this entailing an increase by 63% in comparison with May 2018, when the imports reached 115,322 tonnes.

So far this year, China has imported 658,236 tonnes, almost 20% more than during the first five months of 2018 (549,420 tonnes).
