China to hold public hearing on EU pork anti-dumping case

Stakeholders invited to submit materials and attend as China moves forward with its anti-dumping review of European pork.

On June 17, 2024, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China issued an announcement to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on relevant pork and pork by-products imported from the European Union.

At the request of the European Commission and the French Pork Industry Union (INAPORC), and to ensure the fairness, impartiality, and transparency of the investigation process, the Trade Remedy Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce has decided to hold a hearing on the anti-dumping case involving pork and pork by-products at the Ministry of Commerce in the near future. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

Parties interested in applying to attend the hearing should register before October 23, 2025. Those who apply to speak at the hearing should submit a written summary of their speech and relevant evidence materials at the same time as submitting the registration form. The designated language and text of the hearing shall be Chinese. The speaking time for representatives attending the hearing will be determined by the Ministry of Commerce based on the number of registrations.

This Notice and Registration Form are published on the Trade Remedy Bureau sub-site of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China website. Interested parties may download them directly.

The list of stakeholders participating in the hearing, as determined by the Ministry of Commerce after review, and the specific time and location of the hearing will be announced on the above-mentioned website.
