China: Sichuan to invest USD60m in pig farming

To increase pig production capacity, the government of Sichuan province has deployed some CNY 383.55 million (USD 60.4 million) to the local pig industry.

To increase pig production capacity, the government of Sichuan province has deployed some CNY 383.55 million (USD 60.4 million) to the local pig industry.

In addition to that, a notice from the Ministry of Finance confirmed the continued policy on subsidy to productive sows nationwide. The central government will allocate CNY 100 (USD 15.7) per sow per year for breeder farms in all scale, including large farms and backyard producers.
