The new "Regulations on the Administration of Pig Slaughter" will come into effect on August 1. The regulations were last revised in 2016. With the new regulations, the government seeks to improve:

  • Quality and safety of pig slaughter
  • Disease prevention and control
  • Legal ramifications

The regulations call for enhanced inspection of pigs entering the factory, revision of quarantine certificates, and reporting for traceability of disease. The regulations outline the conditions required to be a slaugher plant.
