A total of 10,000 tonnes of pork from the central reserves will be released to the market to cope with an increase in demand during the holidays, according to Mr Gao Feng, spokesperson of the Ministry of Trade.

This decision follows that of the release to the market of 10,000 tonnes of pork from the central reserves a couple of weeks ago, this making the total amount of pork released since early September add up 20,000 tonnes.
