Chile has opened its market to the import of offal and animal by-products for human consumption—used as an ingredient in the production of foods such as sausages—from Argentina.

Chile's Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) informed the National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (SENASA) of its acceptance of the requirements contained in the International Veterinary Certificate (IVC) agreed upon by both agencies for shipments of edible offal and by-products from cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, and horses from Argentina for human consumption. The measure is now in effect.
