The Brazilian swine industry closed 2025 with very positive performance, reflected in the growth of key indicators such as slaughter and production. The year was marked by record exports that affirmed the country's position as one of the world's leading pork exporters, with a strong focus on strategic markets in Asia and Latin America. At the same time, apparent consumption resumed its historical trend of moderate growth, reaffirming the strength of the domestic market.

Increased slaughter: Swine slaughter reached 59.7 million head in 2025, a 3.6% increase compared to the 57.6 million head consolidated in 2024.

Growing pork production: Pork production in 2025 grew by 4.3% compared to the previous year, going from 5.33 to 5.56 million tons respectively.
Slight increase in carcass weight: The average carcass weight in 2025 reached 93 kg, up 0.6% from 2024 (92.5 kg).
Record exports: In 2025, exports increased by 11.9% compared to the previous year, going from 1.32 to 1.48 million tons, reaching a historical high and positioning Brazil in third place worldwide in the ranking of pork exporters, displacing Canada to fourth position.
Leading destinations: 60% of exports in 2025 were concentrated in just five countries, with the Philippines being the main destination with 392,686 tons and a share of 26.6% of the total, followed by China (10.8%), Chile (8.0%), Japan (7.8%), and Hong Kong (7.3%).

Exported products: Frozen pork (84.2%), pork offal (8.1%), and boneless legs and shoulders (4.1%) accounted for 96.3% of total exports for the year.
Increasing imports: Imports reached 10,645 tons, a 201.8% increase compared to 2024 (3,528 tons).
Imported products: 98.4% of imports in 2025 corresponded to the following items: pork fat (61.3%), salted or brined pork (19.8%), frozen pork (9.7%), and frozen pork offal (7.6%).
Increase in domestic consumption: Apparent consumption increased by 1.9% compared to 2024, reaching 4.09 million tons.
